Beta Release

ictVoIP Billing Addon v1.5.0-beta.2 is our multi-provider release: the addon now supports FS PBX alongside FusionPBX, adds an included-minutes exhaustion engine with staged customer alerts, and introduces in-browser Call Recording for both platforms.

Beta.2 is a hardening point release on top of beta.1: FS PBX extension management now works end-to-end, real-time billing gains several accuracy guards, and real-time packages enforce zero free-minutes — plus billing-accuracy, save-time validation, and WHMCS 9 compatibility fixes carried forward.

Call Recording (New): Clients can browse, play, and download call recordings right from the client area — tenant-level scoping with per-extension listing, on both FusionPBX and FS PBX services

Real-Time Billing Controls: Per-package real-time billing now warns on enablement and locks permanently once calls have been billed — protecting billing integrity by preventing mid-cycle mode changes on packages with call history

FS PBX Multi-Provider Support: Provision, bill, and manage FS PBX tenants alongside FusionPBX — tenant domains, extensions, destinations, and client self-service

Included-Minutes Exhaustion: Per-service tracking of free-minute pools with two configurable warning thresholds and a Warn-Only or Suspend action mode

Module Status Card: The admin dashboard now shows license status and version/update state at a glance

Save-Time Validation Warnings: Package Rates normalizes blank values and warns when a settings combination would silently alter billing behaviour

Client-Area VoIP Panel Redesign: A refreshed, modern service view with streamlined controls — call history and recordings now run on a searchable, sortable, paginated DataTables grid with CSV export

Twenty-One Based Templates: The bundled ictVoIP client-area templates are now child themes of WHMCS's standard Twenty-One theme — future WHMCS template updates inherit cleanly and custom styling stays isolated to our overrides

Provider-Aware Client Services: Dashboards, extension assignment, gateways, and destination tools route correctly per provider

Zone-Aware Call Rating: Destinations are normalized (E.164) before rating, and calls are labeled Long Distance or International based on your configured country zone

Expanded AutoSuspend: Improved suspend/unsuspend lifecycle with stale-state cleanup and detailed run output — coexists cleanly with included-minutes exhaustion holds

WHMCS 9 Compatibility: Admin UI and custom-field styling verified on WHMCS 8.13.x and 9.0.x with PHP 8.1–8.3

FS PBX Extension Management — Fixed: Extension create, import, sync, update, and delete now route correctly to the FS PBX REST API. Previously, extension creation on FS PBX tenants could fail with a "Tenant domain not found" error and silently call the wrong PBX endpoint — all resolved and verified against a live FS PBX host

Real-Time Billing Window Guard: Services with a future-dated next-due date no longer generate an empty future-only billing window that silently skipped real calls — the fetch window now clamps to today and falls back to the real-time activation timestamp

Real-Time Billing Scope Guard: Services with no tenant/domain association (e.g. after a tenant is deleted) are now skipped explicitly with a logged reason, instead of making a wasted PBX call or reporting misleading counts

Zero Free-Minutes Enforced on Real-Time Packages: Real-time billing has no allowance pool — the Package Rates form now locks free minutes to 0 on real-time packages, and stale values are automatically normalized to 0 on addon activation (covers installs upgraded with pre-set values)

PBX Error-Response Handling: Real-time billing now recognizes API error responses (e.g. missing domain parameter) and logs them cleanly instead of miscounting them as call records

Import Wizard & Admin Widget Polish: Tariff import script-loading fix confirmed shipping, and the ictMaint widget entries are correctly labeled and alphabetically sorted

Improvements & Fixes (carried from beta.1)

Extension Sync Reliability: Unassigned extensions stay unassigned after PBX syncs; stale service links self-heal; removed PBX extensions are flagged rather than deleted

Cached Version Checks: Remote update checks now run at most once every 6 hours instead of on every admin page load

Low-Balance Alert Template: Now uses your WHMCS URL automatically, and your edits to the template are preserved across upgrades

Gateway Sync Safeguards: Sync preview now matches existing gateway records, blocks duplicates, and skips malformed entries

Low-Balance Alert Hardening: Threshold checks now handle blank or non-numeric values cleanly

Import Wizard Fix: Resolved a script-loading failure in the tariff import/mapping UI on some installs

Billing Edge Cases: Blank tariff selection no longer clears an existing assignment; rate-markup hint text corrected; credit record dates now store correctly

Autobill Accuracy: Enhanced billing accuracy across tariff and custom-rate call handling, plus PHP 8 hardening across all Autobill variants

Real-Time Billing Accuracy: Real-time billing now begins cleanly at the moment it is enabled — previously, calls from before enablement could be picked up on the first run; international call duration handling corrected

Real-Time CDR Visibility: Client-area call records for real-time billed services now show every call on the selected billing period — including same-day calls — with per-call cost, full-column search, sorting, and CSV export

CDR & Recording Pickers: Client-area call and recording views now use clear tenant/product selectors scoped to the active provider, so clients always see the right call history for each service

Consolidated Invoicing: National and international charges now appear as separate line items on a single invoice instead of multiple invoices

Ready-Made Notifications: Exhaustion warnings and block notices ship as pre-built WHMCS email templates, created automatically on first run

Smarter Extension Assignment: Service pickers now list only services on the active VoIP module, and WHMCS inventory badges reflect real link status

Client-Area VoIP Panel: The support badge now links to your ticket list and shows live open-ticket counts

FS PBX Licensing: Dedicated FS PBX license validation with license details visible on product and service pages

Health Check Accuracy: No longer flags intentionally-removed legacy fields; legacy portable health-check script removed from the package

Cleaner Client Profiles: Client-profile custom fields not required by the current module assignments are removed automatically on activation

UI Consistency: Fixed a duplicated help tooltip on Package Rates, CDR view label fonts, and admin custom-field styling

This beta focuses on multi-provider expansion and billing reliability: FS PBX support throughout Client Services — including a fully working extension lifecycle — client-area Call Recording for both platforms, hardened real-time billing controls, a Twenty-One-based template foundation, included-minutes exhaustion alerts, save-time validation, and WHMCS 9 compatibility — with billing math unchanged from the verified v1.4.4 behaviour unless noted.

Beta Participation

Requirements:

An active, current ictVoIP Billing license
Support tier of Beta Entry or higher
A non-production WHMCS install (8.13.x or 9.0.x, PHP 8.1+) with a FusionPBX or FS PBX test host

To install: Download the beta package from the client area, upload to your WHMCS directory, then deactivate and reactivate the addon in WHMCS Admin → Setup → Addon Modules. Report issues via the community portal or your support channel.
