We're excited to announce a major milestone for ictVoIP Billing: the integration now runs on FOSSBilling — the free and open source billing platform — and a live public demo is available today at demobilling.ictvoip.ca.
FOSSBilling is a free, open source billing and client management platform maintained by a community of contributors. It's designed for hosting providers and service companies that want full control over their billing stack — without platform licensing fees and without vendor lock-in.
For many ITSPs and system integrators, a commercial billing platform isn't the right fit: budgets are tighter, requirements are different, and the ability to audit and modify the codebase matters. Bringing ictVoIP Billing to FOSSBilling makes the same FusionPBX and FS PBX integration available to that whole segment of the market.
The FOSSBilling edition brings the core ictVoIP Billing workflow to the open source billing platform:
manage_* API applications (FusionPBX v5.3–v5.5)The demo at demobilling.ictvoip.ca is a curated FOSSBilling install connected to real lab PBX infrastructure — not screenshots or mock data. Demo credentials for both a client account and an admin account are shown right on the landing page.
As a client you can browse an active VoIP service bound to a real FusionPBX tenant, view its assigned extensions, and page through call detail records. As an admin you can explore the ictVoIP Billing extension — provider dashboards, server registries, client service management, and live Health Check results against the connected PBX hosts.
The demo is read-only by design: checkout, order lifecycle, and financial operations are disabled so every visitor sees the same curated environment. Everything else behaves like a production install.
This is an important step toward making ictVoIP Billing accessible to every size of VoIP operator — from small ITSPs spinning up their first FusionPBX cluster to integrators who want a billing stack they can fully inspect and extend.
The WHMCS edition continues to be actively developed and supported — the FOSSBilling edition expands the ecosystem rather than replacing it.
